My Favourite MAC Lip Combo Of The Moment
All hail my perfect nude combo. MAC Subculture lip liner and Faux lipstick.
Faux has spent it's whole time in my collection as a firm favourite. Being a pale girl with pink undertones finding a nude that suits you can be quite a task. Too pale and you look completely washed out and ghostly. Too dark and well you just look ridiculous. Too brown and you look like you've been having a night in with Ben and Jerry. The possibilities of a bad nude for me are endless.
Being a slightly brown toned nude, I wasn't sure if this would suit me. But once I tried it on I was in love. I'd been wearing it with an essence lip liner and then with MAC Soar (which is another amazing combo) but never did it reach its peak until I wore it with Subculture. I have been wearing this combo any chance I get and I'm sure it will run a long course with me throughout Autumn.

3 Websites You've Probably Forgotten About
I have a little sister (she's 7) and we were playing all these games on her tablet. One of them was about pets and it reminded me of one of my favourite websites I used to play on. It got me thinking about the websites I used to play on all the time when I was a young teenager and I felt all nostalgic and it brought back all these amazing and funny memories so I thought I'd give you a little reminder in the hope it does the same for you.
Behold, Habbo Hotel. This was without a doubt my FAVOURITE website from my teenage years. I was obsessed. I'd play on it at every moment I could. Loads of my friends played it too but I was Habbo master, I would use my mums phone to buy credits and give her the £2.50. I was rolling in the credits. I even used to buy those vouchers from the shop for like £10 that gave you loads of 'creds'.
I had so many rooms, full with furniture and all the latest limited edition items. I always played games and won things too because I was pro at 'falling furni'. And of course my habbo was hot as hell because I had all the latest clothes and hair styles. If I remember correctly I think there was some kind of club which you could pay for which meant you were so prestige. Of course I was in the club. I actually had to keep it on the down low how much of my pocket money I spent on Habbo credits because my mum would have killed me..
My username was Habbadabdob and I was so cool that people made habbos with the same username bar one letter different and pretend to be me. Like seriously I was Habbo pro. Habbo was my life. AWKS.
The Neopets phase came before the Habbo and Girland phases. It was more aimed towards younger children I suppose (although I did play on it a few months ago..) You basically had your own pet and you had to look after it and feed it and play with it, but the pets were SO cool. They weren't real animals, they were some weird damn things but they were cool. I much preferred those mini pets though, the ones that were pets for your pets? Who knows what I'm on about? I have a feeling they were just called petpets.
Omg, I've literally just remembered about the quests. I loved those things, especially the faerie ones because Faerieland was my favourite place. My favourite game was Rink Runner OMG who remembers the NEGG MONSTER. Is that what he's called? But you had to go and try and steal a Negg but he was always awake and tried to eat you.
Writing this post is bringing back even more memories and it's making me way too excitable.
Last but not least, Runescape. I feel like this was considered as more of a 'boys game'. Although clearly anyone could play it and I loved it. I think I enjoyed it because I could be a big meany but it was okay because it was all part of the game. I got to attack people and steal their money and get away with it. (No I would not do that in real life before you start getting worried!). I don't know if I've gone mad and made this up, but I feel like the characters made funny noises when they spoke? I don't know. I just loved the whole fantasy kinda thing.
I had so much fun writing this post. So many memories came rushing back and I just sat here typing away without thinking too much. It might be a bit rambly because I just took exactly what came into my head and put it straight down. I kind of like it this way though because I feel like I'm just having a chat.
I'd love to know if you played these games and if you have any cool memories of them! Also let me know if there's any other websites you used to play that I might have forgotten all about!
I hope this bought back memories and made you feel all nostalgic and lovely because that's how I feel.

Zoella Tutti Fruity
I'll be honest, the first Zoella beauty range didn't grab my attention all that much. I was interested in it and I went to look at the stand in Superdrug but I just didn't really need any of it. It came at a time when I was trying hard to save my money and none of it amazed me enough to spend my money on it.
When the new 'Tutti Fruity' range came out, again I wasn't immediately excited. I was a bit wary of it, wondering if it would actually be any good or if it would just be basic products that didn't do much but make you spend your money because they're labelled 'Zoella'. HOW WRONG I WAS.
So I was in Superdrug, in one of those 'I want to buy everything in the world' kind of moods when I saw the new range. Five minutes later I had these two products in my basket. Oops. I went with these two purely because I knew I would get the most use out of them and I'm SO glad I did.
I'm writing this post fresh from my shower, smelling delicious and excited to have finally found a scrub I like! I'm a scrub the hell out of my skin kinda girl, I don't do 'gentle exfoliation'. The texture of this scrub is amazing, it's so thick you kind of have to dig it out of the pot. Despite it being a not so gentle scrub, it feels so soft and conditioning. I never knew it was possible to feel like I'm rubbing a smooth balm into my legs whilst scrubbing away all the dead bits at the same time!
My legs feel amaaazingly soft and smooth and I can't wait to use this again. My suspicions have been blown out of the water by this product and I'm so glad that Zoe has made sure her products are actually good rather than just wanting to make money by slapping her name on the front. You go girl.
As for the shower gel, whilst it didn't blow me away as much as the scrub, it is a lovely product. It lathers up nice and foamy and soft and smells divine. My skin feels so much softer than when I use my usual Dove body wash (which is supposed to be super moisturising!) and I kind of feel all pampered and content.
If you've been wary about the quality of these products, go ahead and give them ago! I'm pretty damn pleased I did. I predict many repurchases of this scrub in the future!
The rest of the range keeps looking at me when I walk past Superdrug but I'm supposed to be saving big time. Who put it near the front damn it.

Meet Lottie; My 10 Week Old Kitten
Meet Lottie, my gorgeous 10 week old kitten! I've posted quite a few photos of her on social media and it seems lots of people took quite a shine to her. So I thought it was only fair to share with you some more cute photos and tell you a bit about her!
As I said, she is only 10 weeks old. We got her when she was 8 weeks old and she was even tinier than she is in these photos! (For younger photos check my Instagram!) She's a Siamese crossed with a random tom cat that her mother made friends with. My step grandad has a Siamese cat and she had I think about 5 or 6 kittens which the whole family jumped in for! Two went to my stepdads brother, one to his sister, one to us and one stayed at home with Grandpa!
As you may or may not know, I am a crazy cat lady, as are my mum and sisters. My whole life I've grown up with cats and I've got to say she is one of the funniest cats I've ever known. She's just mad. I wish she had her own reality TV show, I could honestly watch her all day. She seems to think she's a parrot, every single time anyone picks her up she is on your shoulder within 3 seconds max. And she just sits there, I'll walk around the house and she just chills on my shoulder.
Every morning she comes to wake me up and just runs around my bed biting my fingers and toes and climbing up my face. She's most playful when she's on my bed which is kind of bizarre but I guess she likes my duvet as much as I do. 20 minutes later she's worn out and she snuggles up (half the time with my unicorn) and goes to sleep.

My 21st Birthday Gifts!
Following on from my last post, here are all the lovely gifts I received for my birthday! I won't ramble on too much as I've already posted about my birthday so I'll just get on with it and show you what I got! I'm so pleased with all my gifts so thank you to everyone that bought them for me!
The very first present I received is this gorgeous watch from my Dad and his girlfriend. I love the two tone metals and I love that it's not huge because of my teeny wrists!
I got this silver plated bangle from my Aunt which is so cute and dainty, the other side of the charm has a little heart on it!
Oh the excitement when I saw this MAC bag! Sarah bought me Soar lip liner which is the perfect match to go with my Brave lipstick. She also got me Twig lipstick which I've wanted for ages but was out of stock when we were in MAC Brighton!
My sister got me this gift card loaded with £50 agh! Let me know what your favourite products are and what you think I should get!
I got this from Luke and it smells amaaazing! Definitely made my list of favourite perfumes!
OH MY GOODNESS. The moment I saw 'Ted Baker' on a purple dust bag I kicked out with excitement and cut my foot. True story. This is the most perfect bag I could ever wish for; the colours, the size, the pockets. Even the inside lining is a gorgeous monochrome floral print, it just would not photograph for me :'(
This was from my amazing best friend Sophie who also got me loads of my favourite things including Soap and Glory, Disney, Candles and a jar of all my favourite sweets!
Feast your eyes on my new love AAAAGH I love it so much it's ridiculous. I was super lucky to be able to choose a ring as a present from my mum and stepdad and after a hell of a lot of hunting I fell in love with this one. I felt like I was trying on wedding dresses and I finally found 'the one'.
It's an Aquamarine on 9 carat white gold with two teeny weeny diamonds on either side of the stone. I adore the pale blue colour of the stone as I didn't want plain and simple but I still wanted something that would go with everything and I can wear 24/7. The thin band is perfect for my tiny hands and fingers and I just love the detailing either side of the stone. I could stare at it and talk about it all day..
It was SO hard to focus for photographs because it's so sparkly but if you want to get a better look at it I have got a video version of this post coming soon to my YouTube channel!
Apart from money and chocolate, those are all the amazing gifts I got for my birthday! I feel so lucky to have received so many amazing gifts that I love and things that I can treasure for years. Thank you so, so much to all of my friends and family members that got me gifts for my birthday and spent time celebrating with me. I had the best birthday ever.

I'M 21! | The Best Weekend & OOTN
Last Saturday I turned 21 years old say WHAAAT! I feel like I'm supposed to be a proper adult now and act mature at all times. If that's the case I am failing miserably..
I was super lucky to have my birthday fall on a Saturday so I got to have an amazing birthday weekend with my closest friends and family. Even Saturdays weather treated me nicely! I can honestly say I had the best birthday weekend I've had in years and I'm still buzzing and feel so lucky to have the people I have in my life. That sounds WAY too cheesy for my usual taste but that's just how damn happy I'm feeling right now!
My birthday weekend started with a family meal on Friday night. We went to Ask and I had pizza (what else do I ever eat) and then I got the embarrassing minute of siting awkwardly whilst everyone sung happy birthday to me ha! The cake was delicious, good job Waitrose.
Despite being a bit cloudy, the weather on my birthday was lovely! It was sunny and warm all day which made for perfect BBQ weather! My closest friends, my parents and my sister joined me for burgers, drinks and a dip in the paddling pool. By dip I mean being thrown in face first..
This picture cracks me up, we all ended up fully clothed in the paddling pool!
Sarah finally made friends with Maggie!
Fast forward 3 hours and we're ready to head into town. I got this dress in the River Island sale for £20 down from £42 and the heels were only £14 from Primark, yay for bargains!
Sarah got her dress from the Miss Selfridge sale for (I think!) £20
I wore MAC Soar and Brave, such a perfect combo ahhh I love it!
This is my best friend Sophie, we realised we've been friends for ten years! Wow time flies!
I haven't actually asked Sophie where her outfit is from but I make the assumption it is all from New Look as this girl literally has their whole stock in her wardrobe!
My night out got cut a bit short thanks to my sore rib (thanks ride at chessington) so I ended up going home at about 1:30 instead of 4am but to put it bluntly, I couldn't care less. After the most perfect day I was quite happy to go home and snuggle up in bed! (Granny over here)
Sunday was spent just as a Sunday should be, in bed. It's honestly quite bad how much I enjoy being a sloth, but it was my birthday and I'll sloth if I want to. We woke up at 12:15.. I spent the day with my friend and my kitten, snuggled up in bed watching Despicable Me 2 on repeat and eating Doritos and chocolate. And it was perfect.
This post was going to include my gifts but it's ended up rather a long, picture heavy post so I'll be showing you those in my next post! I'm still buzzing with happiness, even if I am now back to work. I'm so grateful to have had such a perfect weekend and I hope you've enjoyed reading about what I got up to! Also a massive thanks to those of you that wished me a happy birthday!

Welcome To Ems Lens (The Blog Version)
Hello!
So I guess the first part of writing a blog is an introductory post right? Who am I, what's this blog gonna be about and all that jazz. Well actually that's not really a guess and this isn't really my first blog post..
A good 5 years ago I started writing a blog which you may or may not know as Emilyke Beauty. I absolutely loved it until after a few years the enjoyment started to wear away, the posts became less frequent and gradually I ended up stopping the running of that blog about a year ago. I decided to use that time on something I do enjoy, my YouTube channel, also named Ems Lens. Hopefully a lot of you reading this will have come over from the YT land; comment 'unicorns' below if you have! (YouTube phrase right there).
So how did I get from ending one blog to starting another? The past month or so I've really missed blogging. I've got back into reading blogs and I've been itching to write my own. I decided to make a completely new one as I felt like Emilyke Beauty just wasn't me anymore. The name, the layout, the style, it just doesn't feel like me. I feel like I tried so hard to keep it going during those last few months that it became more of a chore than a hobby.
I want to go in a new direction with this blog and make it a lot more lifestyle based with beauty and fashion thrown in when I fancy it. There's always things I want to write about, just talk about and have a chat about. I want to talk about cool things I've done or I want to do, cool places I've been to or want to go to, things that I'm thinking. Just share my thoughts and experiences.
Now's probably a good time to tell you a couple of things about myself; we'll start with basics. I'm 21, I live in Hertfordshire and I've got an 8 week old kitten so you'll be seeing a lot of that on here. My favourite things are cats, pizza and despicable me. SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!
Those questions answered, I'll leave you with a couple of things I'd like to share right now. I will be dressing my blog up in a snazzy new layout very super soon. (I'm being impatient and simply can not wait to start posting!). If you want to find out more about me hop on over to my YouTube channel and follow me on my social media links below. Also feel free to ask any questions in the comments and thank you so much for reading my first post and supporting the start up of this blog!
